I have loved animals forever. My small farmette is home to horses, dogs, cats, a bird, sheep, alpacas and of course the goats. I have always wanted to help animals and is the only thing I could imagine doing for a living, so I became a Veterinary Technician. I met my first pet goat while in Vet Tech School doing a rotation through Marion Dupont Equine Medical Center. One of the horses that was hospitalized had a goat as a companion. After meeting this goat, I knew that someday goats would be in my future. It took me many years, but I have finally gotten a place of my own, where I am now able to have my horses at my house and to own goats of my own. I purchased my first goat, Clover, from a small farm in West Virginia. He had not been handled at all and was terrrified of people. It didn't take long for him to become accustomed to people and now he is as sweet as can be. When I got Clover, I had two horses, but no other goats. Clover grew up quite attached to the horses. I think that he thinks he is a horse (or at least he thinks he should be). Anyway, Clover started my love and addiction with goats. Browse through my website and sign the guestbook.
