Barbados Blackbelly Sheep

Barbados Blackbelly Sheep are what are known as haired sheep.  They shed their coat each spring and do not need to ever be sheared.  They are a meat sheep as they do not have wool like other sheep that need to be sheared.  These two are just pets as well as used for weed control.  These two guys are not registerable because one of them has white on his tail and foot and the other has horn scurs.  Because of these defects they could not be used for breeding, so I took them as pets and had them wethered.  Otherwise, they would have been destined to end up in the freezer.  I was happy to be able to give them a good life

Here's a picture of them in the middle of shedding their coat
